I purchased the latest Tractive 6 for our pup via Amazon UK and it arrived the very next day. So far, so good! The build quality is excellent, battery life is excellent (depletes 6% - 7% daily), the App is easy to navigate and use and most of all, when tracking my dog it's spot on. BE WARNED... You need a subscription to use these trackers (that's one subscription per tracker). I did my homework prior to purchasing mine, so I wasn't disappointed by finding this out after purchasing. I chose a 5-year premium plan which cost at the time of this review £240. Tractive also offer 1 (£96) and 2 (£120) year premium plans. Alongside their subscription plans, Tractive offers a service called Tractive care. My advice is don't waste your money on this (I did). You can only make a claim twice if you have a 2 or 5 year subscription and once if you have a 1-year subscription. I haven't had to make a claim to date, so I can't comment on how well the claims process works, but I feel like I would be better off simply purchasing another tracker from Amazon and then transferring the subscription from the old device over to the new device. It would actually work out cheaper this way if you had a 1-year subscription, and you would get the latest model! Tractive care will only replace like for like. The negatives... 1. Support - It's email only and going by the reviews of others, one can expect to wait up to five days for a response. 2. Refunds - If you stop using the service for any reason, you will NOT receive a refund for any remaining months of your subscription. Final thoughts... All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. So much so, I just purchased a second tracker to put on our 10-year-old pooch.

My pup can sometimes wander & be unpredictable so I wanted the tracker for peace of mind. Live tracking is very accurate & reliable as long as you have cell connection, unfortunately doesn’t work in areas of no signal which is a slight pain. Had for a week, battery is good & tracker remained tightly fit to Salem’s collar despite him being a mad parkour loving spaniel. Overall recommend, only way I’d improve is to add a speaker into the tracker so that you can call their name from your phone as mine ran 0.8 miles away but he knows where the car is so it would have been handy to be able to call him back.

This item is small enough to fit on a dog collar, waterproof and the mileage is accurate. Location is also accurate. The only thing that lets it down is the time out on a walk. I would still recommend this dog tracker. Its easy to use and download to a mobile. I like the fact that you can share with other dogs you know and the battery indicator is on the home page. Tractive does not take long to charge from empty.

We bought Tractive (£40 ish for Hardware and £6 per month Basic Subscription) to keep track of our Female Puppy/Dog who will be having her first Season over next few months, and also as we are taking off lead for Recall Training. Very happy with the results so far. The Unit goes into Battery Saving mode (updates every 5 mins) when at home but it lasts pretty good...about 10% per day. During Walk, press the button on App and it logs the route in real time....just got to remember to END the Walk otherwise it affects the Stats I guess. The safe zone minimum is a little larger than we anticipated so technically the Dog could escape and we wouldn't know for over 5 mins if it stayed with the large safe Zone around the House Area ie roads. A slight downside, but really the Unit was purchased for walk tracking and off lead operations so not really too worried. The Wellness Tracking is at early stages but looks interesting. Not sure about Sleep tracking when Collar is removed on a night. The Units Base Plate fits onto collar okay with a lot of stretching of rubber... a back up plate would've been good in case the rubber snaps. The Unit then clips onto the Plate with four stretchy rubber clips. Charging up on collar so not needed to remove once in place. Very happy so far.

It's super easy to set up, and I love that it covers a much larger area than my regular WiFi. Thanks to the base station, the battery life is even better and gives me more flexibility when my dog is around the house or yard. Between the reliable tracking, health insights, long battery life, easy-to-use base station, and subtle design, Tractive has been one of the best purchases I’ve made for my dog. Great app with lotsa functionality for activity, ability to create a virtual fence and local warnings for awareness about wild animals. I love our Tractive. Our dog manages to sneak out of our fence constantly. But Tractive has made it not a concern. I get a Notification every time he exits our fence because I used the app to create No Go zones. And when he gets out, I just turn on Live Tracking and watch his exact path as he moves around to our neighbors houses. No more searching for him at all. Plus I can turn on the light on the device remotely when it is dark to see him, and can cause it to make a sound (though it is pretty quiet). It is easy to use. Worked right out of the box - just a subscription - $5 a month. Stays charged for a good week or so. Uses micro USB to charge. Charges quickly. Also it is fun to look at the wellness and sleep tracker. And there is a bark monitor. Also a cute leaderboard of other dogs nearby. Wish the live tracking could be turned on when he is in our yard in the safe zone so I could quickly find him but maybe feature they’ll add.

5 Sterne – Rundum zufrieden – zuverlässig, durchdacht und empfehlenswert Ich bin absolut zufrieden mit dem Tracker von Tractive. Das Gerät ist hochwertig verarbeitet, angenehm leicht und lässt sich gut am Halsband oder Geschirr befestigen. Da mein Hund eine Bulldogge ist und ein 5 cm breites Halsband trägt, habe ich mir zusätzlich die passenden Halterungen von Tractive besorgt, die es auch für breitere Halsbänder gibt – zwei Stück für knapp 10 Euro, das ist völlig in Ordnung. Der Tracker funktioniert sowohl am Geschirr als auch am Halsband gut – ich tausche dafür einfach die Gummihalterungen aus, was schnell erledigt ist. Der Empfang ist bisher einwandfrei (dank integrierter SIM-Karte), die Ortung ist zuverlässig und genau. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Zusatzfunktionen wie das kleine Licht, das man per App im Dunkeln einschalten kann. So sieht man den Hund auch bei Nacht gut. Auch der Ton ist eine gute Idee – nur kam der Piepton in meinem Fall mit etwas Verzögerung, was in einer konkreten Situation nicht ganz hilfreich war. Trotzdem eine sinnvolle Funktion für den Notfall. Den Akku habe ich bislang nicht vollständig ausgereizt, aber der Eindruck ist positiv – er hält lange, wie versprochen. Ich nutze den Tracker übrigens nicht rund um die Uhr, sondern vor allem auf Reisen mit dem Camper. Für mich ist er eine wertvolle Absicherung: Sollte meinem Hund unterwegs etwas passieren oder er entlaufen, kann ich ihn schnell wiederfinden. Und natürlich macht es auch einfach Spaß, unsere Wege nachzuverfolgen – vor allem in unbekannten Gegenden. Die zusätzlichen Funktionen wie Schlafüberwachung oder Aktivitätsanalyse nutze ich persönlich nicht – für mich steht die Sicherheit im Vordergrund. Fazit: ein durchdachtes, gut funktionierendes Produkt, das ich jedem Hundemenschen empfehlen kann. Und mit 30 % Rabatt ein echtes Schnäppchen.
